Development Specialist

At Element, you will work closely with colleagues across functions and locations, supporting system and process development that has a real impact on daily operations. To support our growing business, we are now looking for a Development Specialist to join our team in Porto.
About the role
In this role, you will work hands-on with business processes and systems, solving real operational challenges and improving how things are done in practice. You will work closely with colleagues across the organization and external partners to turn process needs into practical system solutions.
This role is a great fit for someone at the beginning of their career who wants to build strong expertise in systems and process development and grow within an international organization.
Key responsibilities
Supporting colleagues in day-to-day system and process-related questions and problem-solving
Working hands-on with ERP system and data analytic tools (SQL databases, NetSuite & Power BI as key systems)
Participating in ERP development projects, system changes and system validations
Coordinating system development, testing and fixes with external partners
Describing and documenting business processes and translating them into clear system requirements
Testing new processes and system changes and supporting updates after implementation
Contributing to continuous improvement of processes and system usability across the organization
What we are looking for
1–2 years of experience in process development or a similar role
Experience or strong interest in ERP systems and data analytics; experience from an ERP development or system implementation project is a strong plus
Understanding of end-to-end business processes in areas such as procurement, supply chain, logistics, warehousing or quality management
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or similar process improvement methodologies is a plus
Experience or interest in using AI tools in daily work is considered an advantage
Bachelor’s degree in Business and Technology Management, Business Administration, Business Operations Management or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a practical mindset
Good communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and external partners
