Overview:

As the Product Manager, you will support our slurry pumps business by providing expertise in estimation, selection, startup, and troubleshooting. Collaborating with the Mining Sales team, you will develop tailored solutions, manage product line ownership, and address customer needs with a proactive approach. We welcome applicants who are open to initially working remotely, with the expectation of relocating to our Porto, Portugal office within a convenient timeframe.

As main responsibilities you will:

• Support the global growth of the Slurry Handling business line by providing expert knowledge on slurry pump parts, applications, and solutions.
• Assist the Mining Sales team with part identification, installations, trials, and follow-ups, including customer visits.
• Conduct technical presentations on Element products and capabilities in collaboration with the sales team.
• Identify customer needs and develop tailored solutions to optimize mining plant operational expenses.
• Work closely with customers to resolve technical and operational challenges by recommending effective products from our portfolio.
• Oversee the product line lifecycle, contributing to product development, roadmap planning, and design tasks.
• Partner with the design team to find optimal product design solutions.
• Gather and analyze market information to define and evaluate future business opportunities.
• Maintain product information accuracy in ERP (Netsuite) and ensure data integrity across internal systems.
• Engage in commercial activities, including product pricing and preparation of marketing and sales materials.
• Participate in national and international industry fairs to represent and promote the business.
• Availability for business travel as needed for customer visits and presentations.

We are looking for a person with:

• 5+ years experience in a relevant industry; experience with slurry pumps sector or processing plant knowledge is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in slurry pump estimation, selection, startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with Weir, Metso, or FLS slurry pumps is advantageous.
• An engineering degree or equivalent knowledge gained through significant work experience.
• The ability to understand technical drawings, though creating technical drawings is not required.
• Fluency in both oral and written English; proficiency in Spanish or French is advantageous.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach with a strong sense of ownership of the role.
• A commitment to enhancing customer experience by providing constructive feedback and supporting the team.
• Goal-oriented in a dynamic environment, aligned with the company's rapid growth.
